A Year Of Fun For '71
Here are tentative plans for our 40 year reunion
Saturday, June 25th - Golf outing (time, cost and location to be announced) w/a possible alternative event (day spa, shopping excursion, or something else, if anyone has any great suggestions) for those who do not golf, and then the Kick-Off Social to be held that night at the Dayton Motor Cycle Club. The cost for this event will be $12.00 per person which will include a meal, DJ/KJ and keg(s) of beer. BYO bottle of liquor is perfectly acceptable and sodas will be available there.
Saturday, August 20th - Boat cruise down the Ohio river. We will meet at the High School, at a time to be determined, where we will board a bus (or buses if we have more than 54 people) travel to Cincy, do the boat trip and then return by bus to the high school. This gives everyone a little "sober up time," if needed, before they get behind the wheel and drive to their hotels or homes. Approximate cost for the boat is $50 per person w/the cost of the buses to be determined.
Sunday, August 21st - Family carry-in picnic at a location to be determined. Hamburgers, hotdogs and plates, napkins and utensils to be furnished by reunion committee.
Thursday, October 6th - Homecoming Parade w/Our Class Float and a get together afterward for eats and drinks.
Friday, October 7th, Tailgate party at the High School at 5:30 PM, with the football game immediately following, then a social gathering at Bullwinkle's after the game for more food and drinks.
Saturday, October 8th - Alumni Dinner and Dance with recognition of all members of the class of '71 as it is our 40th year since graduation.
As a committee, we feel this gives a variety of opportunities for class members to get together over a 6 month period. For those out of state or country, this gives you more than one chance and one event to make it! Those of us who are more "local" might be able to make it to all three or maybe two or maybe only one but at least this way there will be more than one opportunity for members of our class to get together and renew old friendships and reminisce.
