FOGLE, Lawrence E. "Larry" age 95, of Miamisburg, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. Born June 15, 1911 in Alexandersville, OH., to the late, John Marshall and Edith Mae (Kirkendall) Fogle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lenore (Hill) Fogle and his second wife, Dorothy (Patchen) Fogle, 2 sons, David and Gerald, 2 sisters, Hester E. Eby and his twin, Florence E. Wilson. Survived by his daughter, Millicent (Roger) Davenport of Dayton; his son, John Fogle of Farmersville; grandchildren, Darryl (Kelli) Craft, Eric Fogle, Aaron (Melissa) Fogle, Laurie (Jason) Layman and Jeanne Ann Fogle; great grandchildren, Brooke & Lucas Layman, Austin & Olivia Fogle, Alexis & Brock Fogle, Ethan Craft and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was a graduate of West Carrollton High School, Class of 1930 and a graduate of Ohio State University, Class of 1935. He retired from United Color Press in 1976 as a printing sales executive. Member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Minverva Lodge #98 F & AM (60 year member), Miamisburg Historical Society, Senior Citizens, Miami Valley Industrial Editors, charter member of Sister Cities, a volunteer at Sycamore Medical Center and was a substitute school teacher in Miamisburg. Larry was a prolific writer of poems, letters and stories which many have been published in newspapers, books and magazines. Larry was named Miamisburg Poet Laureate in 1986 and was Miamisburg Citizen of the Year in 1988. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:30 AM from the GEBHART SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, Miamisburg. Pastor Michael G. Hout officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. with Minerva Lodge services at 7:45 PM.
