SNYDER, Warren E. age 94, of Centerville, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Bethany Lutheran Village. He was born May 20, 1917, in West Carrollton, OH, the only child of Ralph and Oleva (Olvis) Snyder. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Thelma (Loeb) and daughter, Dr. Linda June Snyder of Centerville; and five nieces Connie (Loeb) and Jerry Leo of Dayton, Bobbi Ann (Bistline) and Ken Carpenter of Beavercreek, Sharon (Loeb) Baer of Centerville, Cindi (Bistline) and Rick Walker of Grand Rapids, MI, Nadine Loeb of Maine, other relatives and many friends. Warren was a loving husband, father and uncle, a fine gentleman, and supportive friend to many. He is remembered for his kindness, engaging personality, leadership, wonderful sense of humor, and positive spirit. Warren spent his entire working career with Frigidaire Division of General Motors. At retirement he was one of the divisions longest seniority employees with 44 years of service. He was a member of the Frigidaire T.O.M. Club, and a member of the Minerva Masonic Lodge (Miamisburg) for 67 years. An active community volunteer, he was a member of the volunteer ushering staff at Daytons Memorial Hall and later at the Schuster Center for the Performing Arts for 46 years. He joined the Volunteers at Miami Valley Hospital in 1980, serving for 28 years, including two terms on its Volunteer Board and as chairperson in 1983. Warren was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior where he had been very active in the JOY Group (Just Older Youth). Friends may call on Monday, June 6, 2011, from 5:00 7:00 P.M. at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME FAR HILLS CHAPEL (5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd.) and on Tuesday, June 7 from 2:30 3:00 P.M. at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior (155 E. Thruston Blvd. in Oakwood OH 45019) with the funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at the church, Pastor Gary Eichhorn, officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery.
