CASE, John A. age 88 of W. Carrollton, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. John was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio to the late Emery L. & Margaret (Cress) Case. John proudly served his country in the Army during WWII; he was employed as a Tool Maker with General Motors, later advancing to Foreman of the Engineering Model Shop, retiring in 1981 after 45+ years of employment. John was a 50+ year member of the Dayton Lodge #147 F. & A.M.; a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton; a member of the Antioch Shrine and was past president (1996-1997) of T.O.M. Club (G.M.). Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy (Roe) Case; sister Dolores Fahrney; brother William Case; and brother-in-law Clyde Strayer. John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Pamela D. & H.L. (Rodie) Radermacher; sister Mary Jean Strayer; brother- in-law Emerson Fahrney, sister-in-law Bonnie Case, niece Belinda Snell & husband Robert; special friends Madeline Mehaffie, Debbie Jones and Tony Day; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Masonic Service and Scottish Rite Ring Service will be held at 12 noon followed by a brief funeral service on Thursday, September 14, 2006 from the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, W. Milton, OH.
