JONES, Clarence B. Age 88 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 
at his residence. He was born Feb. 3, 1921 in Caryville, TN, the son of the late William 
A. & Anna Mae (Roddy) Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years 
Dorothy J. (Dryden) Jones. Clarence was raised and schooled in W. Carrollton, he 
retired after 31yearsof service from Frigidaire. A decorated Army Veteran of WWII, 
he served with 33rd Armored Division in Europe, engaging the enemy in the Battle 
of the Bulge in Belgium. Survivors include 3 children Toby Rix and husband Ramon 
of W. Carrollton, Patsy Johnston and husband Bob of Fairborn, Clarence Jones Jr. 
and wife Donna of Somerset, KY, 6 grandchildren , 4 great grandchildren and 2 great 
great grandchildren, dear friends Fay Ellis, Teresa and Juanita Rank. Leaving behind 
pleasant memories of the past. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 
at 1:00 p.m. from the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. Burial Evergreen 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of 
service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to 
the American Heart Association in his memory.
