SIMON, Janet D. Passed away Feb. 4, 2012. Janet was an extremely loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. She was born April 25th, 1922 to Art & Eliza Beedle in West Carrollton, Ohio where Janet attended school She proudly graduated as part of superintendent Shades "very special class" of 1940. Janet was a drum major, cheerleader, class president and played clarinet in marching band and orchestra and was also a contestant in the Miss Ohio pageant. Preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Allene (Bill) Landaker, Marjorie (Alfred) Cristofaro, son Douglas (Debbie, Sarita) Simon and her husband of nearly 60 years, Haskell R." Hack" Simon who is forever in her heart. Left to cherish her memory are son David (Laura) Simon and granddaughters Jazlyn & Janessa (her two little everythings), the Cristofaros, the Landakers, the Kahns, the Bauers, her classmates and Ida Mazoff. Mom always gave much more than she took. She was a gifted writer and poet. Her talents will be sadly missed. Mom, I hope you and Dad are once again gazing into each others eyes and dancing to big band music at the Van Cleve Hotel.
