CHRISTMAN, Robert L. (Bob) Passed away on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 in Tucson, AZ. He was 86 years old on Feb. 2 2008. Born in Alexandersville, OH to Jack and Edith Christman. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Furnas) Christman. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage on May 2. He also leaves his son, Timothy A. Christman and his wife, Susan, 2 Granddaughters, Emily (Tony) Reynolds of Piqua and Sara Leach of Troy and seven great-grandchildren. He and Betty graduated together from West Carrollton High School in 1940. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army Signal Corp- Aviation Division in the South Pacific as a Staff Sgt. He worked for Ohio Bell for 37 years transferring to Southern Bell to complete 42 years of service. He served on the West Carrollton School Board for 12 years (1954-1966). He had a Private Power Plane license since 1943 and was a Life member of the Soaring Society of Dayton at Waynesville. His ashes will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton, OH to be announced at a later date. Published in the Dayton Daily News on 4/20/2008. 1940
