SCARBOROUGH, Charles F. "Frank" As one of the three prominent Daytonians that founded the Air Force Museum, now named the National Museum of the United States Air Force was opened to the public in 1971 has passed away on Sunday November 1st at 87 years of age. He has served as treasurer of the Foundation and has remained on the Foundation Board of Managers since its conception. He was the president of the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Fairborn from 1955 to his retirement in 1984. Frank has been married to Claire for 66 years and is survived by his daughter Claudia and friend Walter Jones, his son Kevin and wife, Laurie and their children Elizabeth and David, and the love of his life, his white Persian cat, Angel. Frank was the oldest of seven children, with the youngest brother, Vernon and family still living in the area along with other nieces and nephews. Franks body has been donated to Wright State University where he served on their foundation board from 1978 to 1987. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
