LOWMAN, SR., Fred Russell age 81 of Brookville, passed away Monday, November 28 2005 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1924 in Dayton the son of the late Charles A. & Jean (Russell) Lowman Sr. Mr. Lowman was retired from General Motors with 10 years of service, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving in Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe, receiving the EAME Campaign Medal W/3 Bronze Service Star, the Distinguished Unit Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Virginia "Ginny" Lowman, 3 sons Fred Lowman Jr. & wife Marty of Springboro, Tim Lowman & wife Peggy of Camden, Jerry Lowman & wife Beckie of Huber Heights, 2 daughters Ginger Fowler & husband Ed of Lewisburg, Vicky Carney & husband Pat of Centerville, his brother Omar Lowman & wife Connie of MD, sister Grace Kokenge & husband Bernard of W. Carrollton, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, beloved friend Pat Wood of Moraine, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 12 noon from the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. Burial will follow at the Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Hospice of Dayton whom the family would like to thank for their support and loving care of Mr. Lowman.
