CROOKS, Norma L. Age 82 of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born April 28, 1924 in W. Carrollton, the daughter of the late Carl & Loretta (Gentry) Weldy. She was a member of the National China Painter's Club, the Miamisburg Art Guild and the Germantown Rescue Squad. Preceded in death by her husband John C. Crooks Sr. in 1987, 3 brothers and a sister. Survivors include 4 sons John C. Crooks Jr. and wife Gladys of Springboro, Larry S. Crooks and wife Rosemary of Batavia, Jeffrey P. Crooks Sr. of Miamisburg, Kim A. Crooks and wife Lynn of Goshen, her daughter Judith L. Rhoades and husband Darrell of Germantown, her brother Jerry Weldy of TN, 3 sisters Joanne Slusser of TN, Betty Allison of Kettering, Beverly Dafler of W. Carrollton, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. Rev. Lou Izor officiating. Burial Dayton National Cemetery. The family will eceive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
