SCARBOROUGH, Shirley A. age 81 of W. Carrollton, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. She was born October 18, 1926 in W. Carrollton, the daughter of the late Lawrence & Leonora (Zaenglein) Christman. Shirley was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, the W. Carrollton Historical Society and the W. Carrollton Alumni Association. Preceded in death by Paul Scarborough and her brother James Christman. Survivors include her son Tom Scarborough and wife Gwen of W. Carrollton, her daughter Sherry Caldwell and husband Tom of Miamisburg, her sister Ruth Peto-Wieclaw of FL, 2 grandchildren Tara Myers and husband Dan of Miamisburg, Matthew Scarborough of W. Carrollton, 2 great grandchildren Rylie and Leah Myers, aw well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5550 Munger Road. Rev. John T. Mittermaier officiating. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the church in her memory.
