THROCKMORTON, Donald R. Age 90, formerly of Huber Heights and West Carrollton, passed away November 16, 2017. He was born March 25, 1927 in West Carrollton to the late Griest and Helen Throckmorton. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, N. Jean Throckmorton; and oldest son, David Throckmorton. Don is survived by his children: Karen Dean, Diane (Jim) Graham, Neil and Paul Throckmorton; grandchildren: Jeff, Joel and Laura; brother, Jerry (Bev); many nieces, nephews and friends. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII. The entire family was involved in operating Throckmorton Bros. hardware stores and garden centers at many locations in the Dayton area. After his retirement, Don enjoyed square dancing, traveling and camping across the U.S. Visitation will be held from 12:30 - 2:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.
