WERTH, John Harley 86, formerly of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away in Plano, Texas on April 15, 2015, following a brief illness. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Werth was born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 13, 1928, the son of the late Harley Louis and Martha Jane (Ellsworth) Werth. He graduated from Miami University (Ohio) in 1950, serving as the first President of the Acacia Fraternity, and President of the Alpha Kappa Iota Fraternity. Mr. Werth was the General Sales Manager of Karolton Envelope Division of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, retiring in 1986. He married the late Marion Dove (1929-2011) in Hamilton, Ohio on December 23, 1950, and they had two children, the late Stephen Dean Werth (1955-1999) and survived by his daughter Mary (Mark) Borckardt of Allen, TX, also survived by his sister Elizabeth Ann Oakman (Robert) of Columbia, SC, and several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and nephews. Mr. Werth was a member of Minerva Lodge #98 in Miamisburg, the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and Antioch Temple in Dayton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Pastor Andy Wagner officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
