FAULKNER, Betty L. (Harman) age 83 of Miamisburg, passed away Sunday morning June 30, 2013 at Spring Hills, Middletown under the care of Hospice of Dayton. Betty was born September 18, 1929 in West Carrollton, Ohio to the late Millard F. and Mary (Kahler) Harman. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Harman and a nephew, Wayne Harman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert D. Faulkner; children, Dr. Robert F. (Dr. Terry) Faulkner of Loveland, Jim (Joan) Faulkner of Beavercreek and Mary Lou (Jeff) Graham of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Melinda (Chris) Alspaugh, Andrew Elmore, Jennifer (Ryan) Broome, Lauren (Jeff Hice) Faulkner, Allison (Nathan) Delk, Robert Faulkner and Katherine Faulkner and great grandchildren, Elyse, Austin, Mason and Parker; niece, Deborah Hanny and nephew, John Harman as well as many other extended family members and friends. Betty was a 1947 graduate of West Carrollton High School and worked for 25 years as an office administrator for Miamisburg City Schools before retiring. She also dedicated her life to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where she enjoyed serving in various capacities and also participated in the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority and volunteered for a time at Miami Valley Hospital as a candy striper. Betty enjoyed golfing, travel and card club in her spare time. Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Memorial United Methodist Church, West Carrollton and officiated by Pastors Jim Ludwig and Andy Wagner. Burial will take place at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 or Memorial UMC at 26 N.
