LINK, Chester E. age 77 of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 12, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Chester C. & Mary C. (Magruder) Link. He honorable served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Navy. Chester was a retired employee of Dayton Power & Light with 47 years of service, a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #165, and the Miamisburg Moose #1645. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years Wanda, son Gary Link and wife Ruthanne of Springboro, daughter Kim Adkins and husband Terry of Oakwood, 2 brothers Bob Link and wife Joyce of W. Carrollton, and Ronnie Link of Englewood, sister Pat Wickline of Bethel, Ohio, 7 grandchildren LeeAnne House, Cassie Darr and husband Jared, Ryan Link, Brandon Link, Tara House, Kyle Link, & Maria Adkins, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5550 Munger Rd., Dayton, OH. Rev. Robert Browning officiating. Burial Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for their care of Chester.
