Paul J. Throckmorton, Jr., 87, husband of Mildred Carol Throckmorton, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Baptist Health Hospital. He was born on July 31, 1930, in West Carrollton, Ohio, to the late Paul J. Throckmorton, Sr. and Margaret Zimmerman Throckmorton. He was a retired sales representative and a member of First United Methodist Church and Cornerstone Christian Church. He was manager of horse farms in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and California; a Clark County 4-H youth leader; a Sphar Seed Company Eastern Kentucky rep.; a Fellowship of Christian Athletes adult leader at the state level and at the University of Kentucky Chapter 1971-1973; Campbellsville Golf Coach 2002-2008. He was also a United States veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Beverly G. (Scott) Berryman; two grandchildren, Louis B. (Heather) Graves III and Amy K. (Connor) Gifford; two great grandchildren, Audrey K. Humphries and William Graves. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jayne Hall; and sister, Patricia Ann Nidifer. Services were Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at First United Methodist Church by Pastor Witt Criswell. Scobee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Winchester Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at Scobee Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 841 Corporate DR, Suite 105, Lexington, KY 40503.
