WILSON, Harry Elwood "Wilkie" age 79 of West Carrollton, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. He was born January 29, 1932 in Bracken County, KY, the son of the late Elmo Sr. & Maude (Culp) Wilson. He was the owner of Wilkie's Auto Service and W.C. Mobil, was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3438, American Legion Post 165, Past President of the Southern Ohio Gasoline Dealers Association, worked for NAPA Auto Parts, taught auto shop at West Carrollton High School, was part of the West Carrollton Football Chain Gang, and inductee to the West Carrollton High School Athletic Hall of Fame, and Kentucky Colonel, and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his first wife J ean, 3 brothers and a sister. Wilkie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Alma "Jackie" (Critzer) Wilson, his son David Wilson and wife Debi of Kent, Ohio, 4 daughters Anne Dale and husband Gary of Kettering, Alice Wilson and Bill of West Manchester, Jane Moore and husband Dan of West Carrollton, Debbie Wilson of West Carrollton, 2 brothers Elmo Wilson, Jr. of Miamisburg, Ralph Wilson and wife Kay of TN, his sister Ruth Akers and husband Bill of Springboro, a sister-in-law Donna Wilson of West Carrollton, 14 grandchildren, and numerous other family members, many close friends and over 80 foster children. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 26 N. Locust Street, West Carrollton. Pastor Andy Wagner officiating. Burial with Military Honors at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
