Elizabeth “Betty” Coder, age 78, of Kettering, passed away on July 9, 
2012. Betty was born on January 15, 1934 in Franklin, OH to the late Earl 
and Opal Baker. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death 
by her brother, Earl, Jr.; son, Jeff Menz; and great granddaughter, Anaiya. 
Betty is survived by her husband of 24 years, Gary Coder; two sons, Mike 
(Janie) McMahon and Tim Menz; daughter, Dana (Frans) Leim; six 
grandchildren, Terra, Tom, Emily, Genevieve, Isabel and Andrew; seven 
great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Baker; and other family members and 
close friends. A visitation will be held on Friday July 13, 2012 from 5:00-
7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-
Xenia Rd. The funeral service will take place the following morning, 
Saturday July 14, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, 
donations may be made in Betty’s honor to The Hospice of Dayton.
