LONAKER, Doyle A. age 80, of Centerville, died at home under the care of Hospice of Dayton with family by his side. He was born May 19, 1933 in Dayton, OH to Alford and Elsie (Craig) Lonaker. Graduated from West Carrollton H.S. in 1951 and Univ. of Dayton in 1961; US Navy Veteran. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Caroline (Zimmer) Lonaker, daughters Karen (Douglas) Overbay, and Janet (Ludwig) Schultz, granddaughter Abigail, great grandchildren Brooklynn and Zayden, sister Elizabeth Smith and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Douglas, sister Viola Bergquist, 2 brothers who died in infancy and childhood friend, David Thomson. Retired from Globe Motors after 38 years. Enjoyed music and running; sang with 2 small dance bands in the 50's and in church choirs for 50 years. Volunteered as leader of an exercise/running class for over 35 years. Active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, OH on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00am . Family will greet visitors from 10:00 am until time of service.
