BOWMAN, Jacquelyn S. "Jackie" Age 83 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1935 in West Carrollton, the daughter of the late James & Grace (Watkins) Duncan. Jackie was an employee at Woody's Market for over 30 years and was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband Woodrow "Woody" Bowman, father of her children Richard Adkins, a brother Stephen Duncan, and by 2 sisters Naomi Krull & Betsy Kidwell. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and was extremely gracious and kind to everyone. Her family was her life. She led a life of selflessness and generosity that was an inspiration to all. When you were with her, you wished there were more people like her. She is survived by 5 children Terry Adkins (Kim), Jim Adkins (Christina), Joe Adkins, Susan Bavaro (Joe), Julie Adkins, her brother Roger Phillip Duncan (Lou), brother-in-law Artie Kidwell, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45449 with Father Ron Combs, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
