LEIWIG SR., Ervin Gene age 76 of Kettering, passed away 
Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Kettering Medical Center. 
He was born May 18, 1934 in Post Town Heights, Ohio. The 
son of the late Clovis & Thelma (Taylor) Leiwig. Gene honorably 
served his country in the Air National Guard. Preceded in 
death by his wife Beatrice A. in 2007, and 4 brothers. He is 
survived by 2 sons Gene Leiwig, Jr., of Dayton, Timothy Leiwig 
and wife Linda Darlene of Tallahassee, FL, his brother Alvin 
Leiwig of Miami Township, 2 sisters Marcia Allen of West 
Carrollton, Rebecca Vaughn of Miamisburg, 2 granddaughters 
Cara Johnson and Tracy Owens, 2 great grandchildren Tessa 
Johnson and Eathan Taylor, as well as numerous other family 
members and friends. A graveside service will be held on 
Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Miami Valley 
Memory Gardens, Centerville. Arrangements in care of SWART 
FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.

1953
