CHANCE, James W. Age, 71, known as "Jim the barber" in the Miamisburg area for 40 years, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on April 18, 1934 to The late James R. and Avaril M. (Morse) Chance. Jim was a graduate of West Carrollton High School-1954. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye; 2 sons, Andy (Danette) Chance of Miamisburg, Chris (Leslie) Chance of Clarksville, OH.; a daughter, Jamie (Jim) Davis of Miamisburg; 3 stepchildren, Cindy (Troy) Edwards of Englewood, Roy (Allison) Flores of Cincinnati, Jeff (Lisa) Flores of Springfield, OH.; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Garrison of Miamisburg, Shirley Overholtz of New Lebanon; a brother, David (Diane) Chance of Centerville; 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; special cousins, Rick & Dottie Chance, Al & Evelyn Chance, Jenny Whitaker; numerous nieces, nephews and other cousins. Special friends, "Maggie Dog", Phil & Kathy Hayes and sons, Paul & Sonia Fultz and many other friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 7:00 PM from The GEBHART-SCHMIDT- PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, Miamisburg. Pastor Dave Hicks officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be to Hospice of Dayton, Kidney Foundation of Ohio or the Diabetes Association in Jim's memory. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be missed but always remembered for his love of family, life and the great outdoors.
