CLENDENIN, Patricia Jean Thompson Mowbray (Pat) Age 76 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 in the Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard (Dick) and Maxine Miller Thompson; her first husband of 26 years, Major Joe Alan Mowbray, USAF Retired of Springfield in 1986; and her second husband of 23 years, Edward Wendell Clendenin (Clem) of Fairborn in 2010. She is survived by her children Linda Canan of Troy, Deborah (David) Bowen of New Carlisle, and Scott (Melissa) Mowbray of Fairborn; grandchildren, Bradley (Andrea) Canan, Jessika (David) Snyder and Erik Canan; Kelley Stidham, Alison Bowen, Tyler Stidham, Tarah Stidham and Jason Bowen; Brandy Mowbray, Meaghan (Sean) Walls, Courtney Pennington (CJ) and Emily Mowbray; great-grandchildren, Brady, Addyson, Austin, Adam, Rylan, and Greyson. She is also survived by her step-children, Teresa (Barry) Threlkeld of Centerville and Timothy (Suzanne) Clendenin of Fairborn; step-grandchildren, Melinda, Jason (Cindy), Jennifer, Kristopher, Katelyn, and Patrick; and a step great-granddaughter, Kylie. Pat graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1954 and attended Miami University and Sinclair Community College. She was a military spouse for 21 years. She retired from the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce in 1993 after 15 years of service. She was a Realtor with Big Hill GMAC for 18 years, managing offices in Fairborn in Enon and retired in 2011. Pat was a life-long member of Delta Gamma Sorority and a Life Master with the Miami Valley Bridge Association, both as a member and director. She served as a dedicated volunteer for the City of Fairborn as a seven year member of the Parks Board and a eight year member of the Planning Board. She also served on the Citizens Capital Review Committee for two years and was a co-founder of the Fairborn Parks Foundation. She also instigated the Rona Hills Neighborhood Watch Program. In 2010, Pat completed the Greene County Master Gardener Program through Ohio State University and volunteered many hours to the community. At Pat's request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday April 29, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fairfield Cemetery, 730 Clover St., Fairborn, Pastor James Clayton officiating.
