John F. Freier (Jack), age 75, of Daytona Beach, passed away on August 5, 2012. A funeral service for Mr. Freier will be held on Thursday August 9, at 1:00 P.M in the chpel of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service with interment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. John was born on March 14, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Hazel and Fredrick Freier. He graduated from West Carrolton High School where he played football and still today holds the record for most yards completed. Following high school he briefly moved to Daytona Beach and worked as a lifeguard before returning home to Ohio. John retired from Holiday Inn where he was a General Manager, and he was also co-owner of Freier Jiffy Store in Port Orange. He enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR and football especially Ohio State, and spending time with his loving family. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of forty-six years Phyllis Freier; children, John, Louie, Stephanie, and Denise. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Beach.
