NEAL, Janet L., "Maw" Age 77, of Germantown, passed away 
on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Sycamore Hospital. She 
was born July 1, 1938 in West Carrollton, the daughter of 
the late Norvil & Nora (Lee) Proffitt. Mrs. Neal was a 
graduate of West Carrollton High School Class of 1956, 
retired from R.L. Drake after 35 years of service, her 
grandchildren were her life. She attended every event the 
grandchildren were involved in, and everyone knew her as 
"Maw". Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law Chris & 
Rick Sargent, grandchildren Dustin Sargent, Emily Sargent, 
Jesse Sargent and wife Kelsey, Jared Sargent & Brooke, 
Katie Sargent & Jason Blevins, great grandchildren Kaylee 
Sargent, Landon Sargent & Brody Sargent, ex-husband Jesse 
L. Neal, 2 brothers Paul Proffitt and wife Jerry, and Dan 
Proffitt, sister Doris McIntosh, numerous nieces, nephews 
and all of her "Valley View" children. Funeral services will 
be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the 
DALTON FUNERAL HOME, (Corner of St. Rt. 4 & Weaver Rd.,), 
Germantown, with Pastor Todd Velte officiating. Burial 
Preble Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 
from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral 
home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sycamore 
Hospital ICU Unit in Janet's memory. Please share
