MARKUNES, John 74, passed away peacefully after a short illness on 
Monday, March 3, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born in Dayton, 
Ohio to the late Joseph and Bernice Markunes. John is survived by his 
loving wife of 42 years, Jackie and brother Frank (Diana) of Tyler, Texas. 
He is also survived by his five children; Jody Carmack (Jeff), Diana 
Markunes, Frank J. Markunes, II (Pam), Jackie Lee Welz (Lon) and J
eannie Fogle. As well as Niece Tracee Hardin (Randy), 9 grandchildren 
and 10 great grandchildren. Family and friends can gather Tuesday, March 
18, 2014 at 1 pm at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4851 S. Apopka-
Vineland Road, for a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family is 
requesting donations be made in John Markunes' name to theAmerican
