Michael "Mike" Mason, 69, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in Dallas.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Acton United Methodist Church. Interment: Acton 
Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home. Mike 
was born April 20, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to Kenneth Mason and Doris Nitz 
Mason. He married Virginia Lyon on June 3, 1961, in Chicago, Ill. He served 
in the U.S. Navy and worked as a nuclear quality inspector.  Survivors: Wife, 
Virginia Mason of DeCordova; children, Michelle Berry of Granbury, Beth 
Miles of Granbury, Scott Mason of Greenville, S.C., and Clifford Lyon of 
Ladysmith, Wis.; brother, Phillip Mason of North Carolina; stepsisters, Nancy 
Olander of Golden, Colo., and Susan Osborn of California; eight 
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, 
aunts and uncles.
