CASE, Ronald Mr. Ronald Lee "Pete" Case, age 67, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Decatur, Georgia in 1954. He attended Decatur High School and received a scholarship to play football at the University of Georgia, serving as captain during the 1961 season. Pete was drafted as the Philadelphia Eagles' first pick in 1962, and played guard three years before being traded to the New York Football Giants. After nine years in the NFL, Pete operated a restaurant in Atlanta called the Brave Falcon. ollowing a successful career in business, Pete retired to Lake Lanier. Survivors include his children, Darin and Lee Anne Rice, Cathy Colquitt, and David and Suzanne Case; brother, Clifford L. "Bud" Case; niece, Andrea Case; nephew, Patrick Case; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 pm until hour of service.
