BLOOMINGTON — Betty Noble of Bloomington assumed her place in the loving arms of our heavenly Father on Thursday (Feb. 18, 2016), surrounded by her family. Betty was born in 1943 in Breathitt County, Ky. She graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1961 before traveling the country and settling in Bloomington to raise her family. Betty loved her many jobs and retired from Country Financial in 2001. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Betty was a devoted Christian and believed in the parable of the Good Samaritan. She never knew a stranger and held out her hand to anyone in need. Betty was loved by many and will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie and Elmer Noble. Betty is survived by her siblings, Fran Noble, Colorado; Mary and Jerry Aufuldish, Miamisburg, Ohio; Kenny and Maggie Noble, Bloomington; and Phil and Connie Noble, Missouri; her children, David and Cindy New, Bloomington; Tina Downs and partner Kyla Cushman, Champaign; and Robert and Mary Downs, Fresno, Calif.; and her beloved granddaughter, Briana Downs, Fresno, Calif. There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St., Champaign. Private burial services will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, Ohio.
