Philip Wayne Copsey, 66, of Maysville died Wednesday, 
September 18, 2013 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. 
Mr. Copsey retired in 2010 from Dayton Power and Light after 
forty-three years of dedicated service and was a member of the 
First Christian Church in Maysville where he also served as an 
Elder. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 20, 1946 the 
son of the late Philip Marion Copsey and Katharine Margaret 
Trubee Copsey. Survivors include his wife, Linda Denise 
(Powell) Copsey; two sons, Aaron Wade Copsey (Kate) of 
Elkridge, MD and Matthew Philip Copsey of Columbus, OH; two 
grandchildren, Abigail Jayne Copsey and Brendan Philip Copsey; 
sister-in- law, Joan Copsey of Dayton, OH and several nieces 
and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 
his sister, Dorcas Ann Copsey and his brother, Bruce Kenton 
Copsey. Funeral services for Philip Copsey will be held at the First 
Christian Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2013 with 
Pastor Steve Lesher officiating. Visitation will be held at the church 
on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be 
made to the First Christian Church Maysville Group Workcamp
