BLACK, Stephen Allen, 58, of Dayton, passed away Monday January 19, 
2009 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. Stephen was born in Kenova, 
West Virginia on June 10, 1950 to Robert Allen & Mary Rebecca (Edison) 
Black. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Preceded in 
death by his parents, Robert & Mary, and also his sister, Kay. Survived by 
his beloved wife, Sandra; daughters, Spring Braun & Joey Gagel; step sons, 
Gregory, Michael, Brian & Christopher Gornis; grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, 
yler, Kara, Ali, Lacey, Casidy, Lucas, Hanaha & Zackery; great grandchildren, 
Logan, Devin & Coda; sister, Jane Schrader; a host of nieces & nephews. 
Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at the Dayton National 
Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Miami Shores
 Baptist Church, Moraine, Ohio. Pastor Doug, officiating.
