WELCH, Treska Delane 56 of Huntsville, Alabama passed away unexpectedly 21 July 2012 in Mobile, AL. Born 28 JUL 1955 in Dayton, Ohio she was a 1972 graduate of West Carrollton High School. An avid reader dedicated to life-long earning, Treska earned degrees at Sinclair Community College (AA), Eastern Kentucky University (BA & MA) and North Miami Medical Center School of Nursing (RN). She also attended King College, Bristol, TN. A Veteran of the US Army her active duty tenure was completed at Martin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Benning, GA 1975-1978 followed by service in the US Army Reserves (Military Police unit) in Richmond, KY. Her professional career included employment with the State of Florida in Miami as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the Blind and nursing positions at N. Miami Medical Center; Mountain Home VAMC, Johnson City, TN; and Floyd Memorial Hospital, New Albany, IN. Baptized and married at St. George's Episcopal Church, Kettering, Ohio, Ms. Welch was most recently a member of the Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church, Huntsville, AL. Professional memberships included the Education Recognition Association, Alabama State Nurses Association and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Ms. Welch is survived by her daughter Shannon A. Welch of Semmes, AL, and brothers Preston Q. Welch of Fredericksburg, VA; and Eric Z.Welch of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by father Ernest Welch and mother Arvenia Bentley Welch, of Dayton, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September, 22nd at 2:00PM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 1060 Salem Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45406.
