Denzil "Denny" Ritchie, age 64, of West Carrollton, Ohio passed away February 24, 2019 at Kettering Hospital. He was born April 14, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to Vernon and Nora (Perkins) Ritchie. Denzil was a graduate of West Carrollton High School. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army. Denzil was retired as a heavy machine mechanic for Montgomery County. He was proud of his pilot’s license from the Department of Transportation – Federal Aviation Administration and a licensed amateur radio operator. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Damon Ritchie. He is survived by loving wife, Karen of 31 years; son, Denzil Chad (Sara) Ritchie; daughter, Angela Dugger; step-son, Matthew (Amber) Hogan; sister, Patricia (Randy) Smith; grandchildren, Madison, Riley, Nola, Josephine and Maximilian; great-granddaughter, Lily and many loving nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. at Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Private family interment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
