BASS, Chauncey Q. born Jan. 30, 1958, passed away Aug. 2, 
2010. Chauncey was a native of Dayton and he graduated from 
West Carrollton High School. He spent a short period in the 
military then moved on to driving trucks for a well earned living. 
Chauncey was honest and caring to those he held dear. He was a 
loving, devoted father who spent every available moment with his 
children. His life was his children, close family members and 
friends. He left everyone with at least one happy thought no matter 
how bad of a day they've had. Chauncey will be cherished in our 
hearts and deeply missed. He is survived by his mother, Mildred 
A. Bass-Lee and his step-father, Henry Lee, Jr.; brothers, Anthony 
I. and Darryl E. Bass; his sister-in-law, Tina Bass; (5) children, 
Amelicia, Taylor, Katherine, Remington and Brandon McCabe-
Bass; the mother of his children, Lisa McCabe; along with a host 
of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services: Monday, August 
9, 2010, 11 a.m. at Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2060 Germantown 
St. Rev. Huelett Arnold officiating; Public Viewing: 9 a.m. until time 
of service. Family will receive friends 1 hr. prior to service. Final 
resting place: Cremation.
