COOK, Steven "Steve" 58, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Kettering, Ohio. Steve was born on March 3, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to Daniel and Lora Ann (Harris) Cook. Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Loraine Cook and Robert and Mary Harris, as well as brother, James "Jay" Cook. In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his brother, Jeff Cook; nephews, Jason and Amanda Cook and Jeremy Cook and Kate Smith; aunts and uncles, Bobby and Art Brandt and Mary Lou and Frank Palazzo, as well as several other family members and numerous friends. Steve graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1977 and worked for Hospice of Dayton for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm.
