Eric Gene “Bubba” Ferguson, age 50 of West Carrollton, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his home. He was born April 27, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio to Larry and Gaye (Tarter) Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry G. Ferguson. Eric is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Deidra “Joann” (Royster) Ferguson; children, Matthew G. (Christina) Ferguson and Amanda M. (Steven) Ferguson; siblings, Krista Jones and Clifford (Dana) Ferguson; grandchildren, Felicia, Zoey and Matthew Jr.; in-laws, Faye (Charlie) Ross, James (Kathy) Anderson, Jerry Royster and Johnny Royster as well as many other extended family and friends. Eric was a 1986 graduate of West Carrollton High School. He was hired right out of high school by Rubber Tech of Dayton where he began a long career in the rubber bond component manufacturing. The company later transitioned into High Tech Elastomers in Vandalia where he enjoyed a lengthy 30 year career as an expert in his field. Eric enjoyed fishing spending time with family and the outdoors in his spare time. He will always be remembered as a great man, father and husband and will be dearly missed. Family will receive guests from 4:00-6:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm also at Newcomer Kettering. Guests are once again invited to gather at the funeral home 10:30 am Monday March 4, 2019 for procession to Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton for burial.
