LANKFORD, Carrie M. (Lovell) age 83 of West Carrollton passed away Thursday Nov. 22, 2012. Carrie was born April 11, 1929 in Columbus, Nebraska to the late Allen and Francis (Luchsinger) Osborn. She married Lyle Lovell in October of 1943. Lyle preceded her in death in May of 1996. They had 4 sons, Donald and wife Jenny of Temucula, CA, Craig and wife Sugi of Brookville, Tadd and wife Cindy of Centerville and Larry and wife Karen of Bellbrook, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and sister Ellen Polinko of Omaha, NE. Carrie retired from the West Carrollton Board of Education where she was the first woman school bus driver. Carrie and Lyle owned a camp ground and swim club in Urbana, OH for nine years. Then she and Lyle retired to Wauchula, FL in 1987. She was a member of the Springfield Ladies Aux. #1031 for many years. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sanner Funeral Home, 800 So. Alex Rd., West Carrollton, OH 45449. Funeral services will be Saturday December 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with her son, Rev. Craig Lovell officiating. Entombment will follow at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens. Following the services at the cemetery, everyone is invited to Liberty Baptist Church, 6953 Germantown Pike, Miamisburg, OH 45342 (lbcmoraine.com for directions) for food and refreshments with the family.
