NEWMAN, Gloria D. Age 84, formerly of West Carrollton, OH, died peacefully Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Genesis Center, Milford, MA with her beloved daughter by her side. Gloria was an elementary school secretary retiring after 30 years of service with the West Carrollton Board of Education. A native of Williamsburg, OH, she was a 1951 Williamsburg High School graduate who enjoyed attending alumni functions. Gloria enjoyed fellowship at Victory Christian Church in Kettering, OH. She was an avid reader, classic movie buff, and traveler. Gloria was happiest spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson Kristi, Stephen, and Trevor Baker all of Medway, MA. Gloria married her beloved husband Vincent R. (Bob) Newman in 1955 and enjoyed 25 years together until his death. She was also preceded in death by her parents Granville and Florence (Peggy) Smith of Williamsburg, OH. A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH. There will be no visitation.
