NORRIS, Lonnie J. 72, of Arcanum died Monday March 18, 2013 at his home. Mr. Norris was born May 1, 
1940 in Darke County to the late Leonard and Dorothy (Baird) Norris. Lonnie was a member of Faith United 
Methodist Church, the Arcanum School Board, and the Arcanum Lions Club. He was a 1958 graduate of 
Arcanum High School and a 1962 graduate of Ohio Northern University. Lonnie was a teacher and coach 
for 19 years, starting the football program at Springboro High School in 1963 and later coaching at West 
Carrollton High School. Mr. Norris was inducted in the Springboro, West Carrollton, and Ohio Northern 
Athletic Halls of Fame. Lonnie was a salesman for VAC Distribution. He was the manager of Beechwood 
Golf Course, retiring in 1998. Mr. Norris is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Joshua Bland. 
He is survived by his wife Connie (Neal) Norris, who he married on November 23, 1988; daughters Missie 
Miller and husband Jeff of Carlisle, Darcey Garno and husband Doug of Arcanum, and Ramie Wilson and 
husband Rocky of Carlisle; sons Lennie Norris and wife Julie of Franklin and Kelly Norris and wife Lisa of 
Arcanum; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Colleen Schenck and husband Lee of Marysville, 
Michigan; brothers Terry Norris and wife Sandy of Spotsylvania, VA, and Danny Norris and wife Betty of 
Versailles. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Faith United Methodist 
Church, Arcanum with Rev. Courtney Hollon and Rev. Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville 
Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 4 - 8 PM at the Faith United Methodist Church.
