WALTERS, Shirley L. Age 83 of West Carrollton passed away Thursday evening May 11, 2017. Shirley was born in Lewisburg, OH on April 22, 1934 to the late Richard and Gladys Mae (Rice) Glander. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at West Carrollton Baptist Temple and retired from the West Carrollton Board of Education. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Jacquline King, 2 brothers Robert and Richard Glander, Jr.. Shirley's husband of 66 years, Gilbert (Red) Walters passed away March 31, 2017. Surviving are her children Rebecca Brooks, Timothy Walters, Richard and wife Penny Walters, brother Mike and wife Cathy Glander, sister Peggy and husband Jim Denney, 5 grandchildren Sarah (Andy) Hoover, Joseph (Brandi) Brooks, Chadd Walters, Zack (Ann) Walters, Jon Brooks and 8 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be Monday May 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, State Route 503, West Alexandria, OH 45381. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andy Hoover. Memorial contributions are asked for Hospice of Dayton , 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Arrangements in care of Sanner Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
