WAMPLER, Jack D. 81, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 13, 1931 to Olis & Vesta (Elliott) Wampler. Jack had worked at N.C.R. for 24 years and retired from West Carrollton City Schools after 14 years of service. He was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Fairborn. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lee & O.P. "Olis." Survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Gwendolyn "Gwen"; daughter, Terri Lynn Drumm (Dave); son, Ronald Chappell (Elaine); 3 grandchildren, Rhonda (Bryan) Vest, Robert (Heather) Chappell & Bryan (Heather) Chappell; 8 great grandchildren, Brennen, Destiny, Gwen, Sammy, Macy, Ronnie Lee, Breanna & Allen James "A.J."; sister, Jorita Booth of Dayton; several nieces & a nephew. Special thanks to our church family for their support and the nurses & doctors at Kettering Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral service 12 noon Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at the Central Avenue Church of Christ, 922 S. Central Ave., Fairborn, OH 45324. Mr. Scott Spencer, Minister, officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2 hours prior to the service (10 a.m.-12 noon) at the church.
