WOOD, Chester E. "Chet" age 75, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He was born February 9, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio. He was employed for 24 years at NCR and for 20 years for the West Carrollton School System. While at NCR he played on their softball team. Chet was a member of B.P.O. Elks #257 of Middletown, Loyal Order of Moose in Miamisburg, V.F.W. of West Carrollton, and Fraternal Order of Eagles of Germantown. Preceding him in death were his parents, Chester O. and Mabel Morningstar Wood; and two brothers, Charles "Lindy" and Garvin Wood. He is survived by four children, Thomas Chet Wood, Dana L. Marlowe, Jodie L. (Jay) Lacy and Jill L. Simpson all of Louisville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Turner Marlowe, Chris, Leslie and Kevin Lacy, Michelle Simpson and Allie McDaniel; Special Friend, Jan Orth of Middletown and their dog, Angel. Family will greet friends on Friday, July 3, 2009 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Lambes officiating.
