BARKER, Janet Williamson Age 89, passed away October 31, 2016. Janet was born in Cedarville, Ohio on September 23, 1927 to the late Raymond T. and Fannie M. Williamson. Janet graduated from Cedarville High School in 1945 and Bowling Green State University in 1949. She also earned a Masters Degree from University of Dayton. Janet was an educator and administrator for 33 years. She taught in Northern Ohio, Cincinnati area, and retired from the West Carrollton Jr. High School. Long time member of the Dayton Civic Club, Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators, active with the Retired West Carrollton Jr. High Teachers Group, served on the board of the WCHS Athletic Hall of Fame, Dean of Girls and Assistant Principal at WC Jr. High, and mentored many young women to expand the vision of women's opportunities. Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth E. Barker, 6 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by daughter Cynthia (William) Seifert; sons Scott (Carol) Barker; Kent Barker; grand-children Derek Seifert, Claire Seifert; sister Mildred (Williamson) Sharp; brothers Kent (Barbara) Williamson; and R. Max Williamson. Janet is also survived by many in-laws, out-laws, nieces, nephews, devoted friends, and extended family. She loved spending time with family, friends, traveling, and was a thoroughbred horseracing enthusiast. She will be greatly missed.A memorial service to celebrate Janet's life will be Saturday November 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Presbyterian Church, 4699 Lamme Rd., Miami Twp., OH 45439 with Rev.
