DITTMAN, Robert Alan February 8, 2007. Born to Charles and Helen in Springfield, Ohio, on August 25, 1933, Bob completed his pilgrimage and went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2007. A resident of both Blairsville, GA and Punta Gorda, FL. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mina, his 5 sons, Mike (Kim) of Punta Gorda, Lee (LaVerne) of Punta Gorda, Dan of Blairsville, GA, Gary (Karen) of Lincolnton, NC and Robert (Laurie) of Warner Robbins, GA; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Bob received his bachelors degree from Sherwood School of Music in Chicago and his masters from Miami University (Ohio). He spent his life teaching the language of music in both voice and keyboards. He taught for over 30 years in Manatee County schools, 10 years at West Carrollton, Ohio, 1 year in Cleveland Ohio. He was involved as music director in many theatre groups including Manatee Players and Opera Chorus in Dayton. He wrote music and judged contests for the State of Florida Vocal Association. Bob spent a lifetime of Sundays playing in churches that are too numerous to mention. He loved to use his talents to Bless His Lord. Bob has touched many lives and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held in Fort Myers at Palm Beach Boulevard Church of the Nazarene on March 10, 2007 at 2:00 pm and also in Blairsville, GA on April 14th, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
