HOUCK, Alvin R. age 76 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006. 
Al retired from the West Carrollton school system after many years of teaching & 
coaching. He was a founding member of the Judson Baptist Church. Long time 
member of the Centerville Lions Club & member of the Greater Dayton Track 
Officials Association. Al served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. 
Preceded in death by his wife Lucille, son James R. Houck & grandson Alexander 
J. Bennett. Survived by daughters Patti (Gene) Bennett & Linda Sue (Robert) 
Smitley, sons Paul (Jeanna) & Robert (Kim) Houck, brother Nelson Houck, twelve 
grandchildren & three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, 
Feb. 13, 2006 from 5 to 8 PM with funeral services Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the 
Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. (Rt. 725). Rev. 
Robert Wackerman Sr. officiating. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. 
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Centerville Lions Club Scholarship 
Foundation in Al's memory.
