LANE, James Arnold, Jr. age 76 of Springboro, passed away, Monday, March 15, 2010. Jim was born May 22, 1933 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Arnold and Virginia (Todd) Lane. Jim was a retired high school science teacher from the West Carrollton School district. He received masters degrees from Eastern Kentucky University and University of Arizona. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jimmie; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Scott and Agnes Lane of Gates Mills, Ohio; son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Phil and Virginia Depp of Springboro; brothers, Samuel Earl (Nancy) and Paul Todd (Judy) Lane; grandchildren, Josh, Madi, Hayden, Graham, and Sidney. Jim was a member of First Baptist Church of Kettering. He enjoyed bird hunting and raising cattle on his family homestead farm in Richmond, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, March 18, 2010 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Rd. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 19th at the funeral home with a graveside service at Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kentucky to follow at 4 pm.
