LIGHTCAP (Foster), Susan M. Daughter of Dorothy and the late William Foster of Kettering died Monday, May 28, 2018 after a 3 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Susan is survived by her husband of 48 1/2 years, Jack D. Lightcap, her children Jennifer (Trent) Rammel of Lebanon, her son Jonathan (Beverly) Lightcap of Kettering, 3 grandchildren, Allison Rammel and Jackson and Jacob Lightcap, her brother Tom (Gretchen ) Foster of Kettering, and several nieces and nephews from Ohio, Florida and Texas. Susan was born in Dayton on May 28, 1949. She graduated from Piqua High School in 1967, Bowling Green State University (BS Education) in 1971, and Wright State University (MEd Education) in 1994. Sue retired from the West Carrollton Schools in 2007 after teaching 35 years. Sue loved her chosen profession and worked with kids in and out of the classroom. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church on Lamme Rd., serving as a Deacon and as an active member of the choir and music programs. She also played flute with the Kettering Civic Band for nine years. Sue was a member of the service club LaSertoma of Dayton and helped to found the "Teddy Bears for Hospice" program. Sue and her husband loved to travel and experience other places in the U.S., in Europe and the Caribbean. A memorial service will be held at the Central Presbyterian Church, 4699 Lamme Rd. Moraine, OH 45439, Saturday, June 2, 2018, with visitation at 10:00 am and the service at 12:00 noon. Susan's burial will be at David's Cemetery in Kettering.
