MONTGOMERY, Mick 71, of Dayton, a.k.a. the hard-hearted ramblin' man, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. Mick is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Ruby Montgomery. Survived by his children, Christopher Michael Montgomery and his wife Kodie of Austin, TX, Hannah Jemima Montgomery of Washington D.C., and Eli Dylan Montgomery of Dayton; brother Dennis (Maggie) Montgomery of Bemiji, MN; sisters Kathy (Bill) Holt of Kasilof, Alaska; Patti Montgomery of St. Petersburg, FL. Mick was a former art teacher with the W. Carrollton Public Schools and former owner of the Canal Street Tavern. A Gathering of Friends will be held 1-4 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Following the services, there will be a hootenanny at The Bright Side Music and Event Venue, 905 E. Third Street, starting at 6pm.
