THOMPSON, Margarene "Jean" age 85 of West Carrollton, passed 
away, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. She was 
born December 2, 1924 in Morgan County, Kentucky. Jean was a 
retired school teacher with West Carrollton City Schools and a member 
of the Central Christian Church. Preceded in death by her husband J. 
Robert "Bob" Thompson on July 8, 2010. She is survived by her 
daughter Janie Diane Sachs and husband Dr. Edward of St. Marys, GA, 
3 granddaughters Karen Friesen and husband Jason of Chicago, Kim 
Fleming and husband David of Davidson, NC, Kristen Ehlers and 
husband Drew of Chicago, 4 great grandchildren Connor and Tyler 
Friesen, Ally and Kate Fleming, her brother Chet Williams and wife 
Mikelann of Kent, OH, 2 sisters Deskie Rice of Portsmouth, OH, 
Frances Swafford of Dayton, and numerous nieces, nephews, other 
family members and friends. The family would like to thank the Doctors 
and Nurses for the skillfull and compassionate care of Jean during her 
lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 
22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Christian Church, 1200 Forrer 
Blvd., Kettering, Ohio with Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial Evergreen 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. 
until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial 
contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 
www.ocrf.org or Hospice of Dayton in Jeans memory. Arrangements 
entrusted to the SWART FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
